
JAMESTOWN – A Winter Storm Watch will go into effect at 6 p.m. tonight for all of Western NY and last until early Saturday morning. This will provide for possible significant snow accumulation across the area of 5-9 inches.
This afternoon, we will be cloudy with a chance of freezing rain and a few rain showers. Highs near freezing at 32 degrees.
For tonight, freezing rain before midnight will change to snow after midnight. Lows in the 20’s. New snow accumulations of 1-2 inches possible.
Friday, snow across the region. Highs in the low to mid 20’s. Snow accumulation of 3-6 inches possible, with higher amounts possible in the traditional hills of the Southern Tier.
Saturday early snow showers will tapper off, leaving the remainder of the day with cloudy skies. Highs in the mid 20’s.
Sunday will be quiet. Mostly Cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s.
