Man Arrested After Allegedly Threatening Person With Knife

STOCKTON – A Village of Sinclairville man was arrested after allegedly threatening a person with a knife on Thursday.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says Austin Schwab, 24, was charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Deputies say on Friday Schwab was arrested during a traffic stop in Gerry.











Schwab was allegedly driving while impaired by drugs, in possession of a controlled substance and numerous hypodermic needles.

In addition to the charges filed in the Town of Stockton, Schwab is charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Deputies say Schwab was held in the Chautauqua County Jail pending centralized arraignment.
