JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Board of Education announced Tuesday morning they are using a Buffalo based consultant group to aid in the search for the district’s next superintendent.

School officials say the New York State Leadership Group was selected during a special Board of Education meeting.

The New York State Leadership Group is a non-profit educational organization within the SUNY Buffalo State College Foundation.

Under the leadership of Executive Director Robert Christmann, the group has completed over 50 school district leader searches.

Officials say in addition to their connection to SUNY placement offices throughout New York State, Christmann is also the President of the National Staff Development Council, an organization of schools of education throughout the United States, giving the group a national network of highly qualified school leaders.
