Search Warrant Reveals Meth, Handgun Inside City Home

JAMESTOWN – A City of Jamestown man is behind bars after allegedly possessing a loaded handgun and methamphetamine during a search warrant at 126 Hodges Ave. Thursday morning.

Jamestown Police say 35-year-old Richard Kinsey Jr. was wanted on a federal Drug Trafficking warrant. Kinsey Jr. allegedly tried to flee out of  the home upon officers arrival but was taken into custody shortly thereafter.

A search of the residence revealed 25 grams of methamphetamine along with an undisclosed amount of crystal meth and drug paraphernalia. Officers also allegedly observed a loaded .380 handgun inside of the home.

Kinsey Jr. is being held on a federal arrest warrant along with various other charges stemming from the search.
