Juvenile Charged In Connection With Recent North County Arsons

SILVER CREEK – A juvenile suspect has been identified and charged with recent burglaries and arson after a lengthy investigation by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

On January 11, multiple fire departments responded to the vacant Hideaway Bay Restaurant in the Village of Silver Creek for a report of a fully involved structure fire which destroyed the building.

A few days later on January 14, an arson was reported at Gernatt Asphalt Products in the Town of Hanover.

Deputies say the juvenile suspect faces a host of burglary, arson, and criminal trespassing charges.
