JAMESTOWN – A City of Jamestown man was arrested Sunday night following a foot pursuit in the area of North Main and 1st Streets.

Jamestown Police say Brandon Sorenson, 26, was wanted out of Jamestown City Court. When officers attempted to take Sorenson into custody, police say he ran away.

Following a short foot pursuit, officers say Sorenson was arrested.

Police say Sorenson was allegedly located with two bags of methamphetamine, a digital scale and plastic bags commonly used for packaging narcotics.

Sorenson is charge with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and second-degree criminal using drug paraphernalia.
