SILVER CREEK – A Village of Silver Creek man was arrested Tuesday after following an alleged altercation on Spears Road just after midnight.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says Zachary Roche, 19, allegedly attempted to stop an individual from requesting police assistance and during the altercation struck the caller in the face.
While arresting Roche deputies say he attempted to evade deputies by fleeing the scene on foot.
Deputies say Roche was quickly apprehended charged with resisting arrest, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.
Roche was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
