JAMESTOWN – A rather cloudy and quiet Tuesday, proceeds a big but brief warm up by mid to late week. Temperatures will spike into the low to mid 60’s.

For this afternoon, it will be rather cloudy with an isolated shower possible. Temperatures in the lower 40’s across the region. As we head into tonight, clouds will begin to clear leaving partly cloudy skies. Lows in the upper 20’s.

As high pressure begins to build in tonight into tomorrow, partly cloudy skies will warm up the temperatures to around 50 for Wednesday.

As spring begins Thursday, unsettled weather returns, although it will be quite warmer. Thursday will be cloudy with rain showers possible. Highs in the lower 60’s across the Southern Tier. It will be a bit cooler near the lake shore and northern areas with temperatures in the 50’s.

The warmer weather will not last. Friday will see highs in the upper 60’s very early, but a strong cold front will push through Friday afternoon. It will be rainy, breezy, and a possible thunderstorm as the cold front passes by. Temperatures will drop through the 50’s into the 40’s Friday afternoon.

While the weekend will be quiet as high pressure builds in, temperatures will drop back into the 30’s.
