Region Sees Several New COVID-19 Cases On Wednesday


JAMESTOWN – Officials in Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Warren Counties announced several new positive cases of COVID-19 across the region on Wednesday.

In Chautauqua County, there are two new cases, consisting of a man in his 60’s and a woman in her 70’s.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 90. There remain 257 cases under quarantine or isolation orders while there have been 71 recovered cases, 2 remain in hospitalization, and 4 fatalities. There have also been 4,008 negative test results to date.


Cattaraugus County also reported two new cases; an asymptomatic woman who lives in the southeast part of the county with no contact history, and a male health care worker who also resides in the same section of the county who has known contact with COVID 19 patients. These two new cases bring the confirmed number of cases to 71.

Additionally, Warren County has announced one new case of COVID-19, bringing the county total to four confirmed cases.

Officials have not released any information regarding the new positive case.
