JAMESTOWN – This week, a local boy scout troop delivered popcorn to say thank you to school food service workers.

Troop 162’s Alexander Pashkow and Jack Allen delivered over 50 popcorn collection tins to employees at Jefferson, Persell and Washington Middle Schools and Jamestown High School.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak began, the Jamestown Public School District Food Service Department served 160,000 ‘to go’ meals to students.

District officials say meals are provided Monday through Friday, with weekend meals available for pickup on Fridays. Weekly menus are posted at jpsny.org/meals.
