A Dry End To The Weekend, Storms Kickoff Start Of New Week

JAMESTOWN – A warm and dry Sunday, will be followed by a cold front on Monday along with cooler temperatures for the remainder of the week.

Today will feature plenty of sunshine with highs in the mid-80’s. Dew points will be in the lower-60’s.

For tonight, partly cloudy with lows only dropping back into the upper-60’s to near-70.

Monday will be a very hot and humid day before a strong cold front moves by later in the afternoon into the evening hours. Behind the front temperatures will be in the upper-80’s with dew points reaching the lower-70’s. The day will start off with sunshine before clouds increase in the afternoon.

As of now, the timing of the cold front is up in the air with model guidance suggesting being in the late afternoon and evening hours of Monday.

As of now the severe threat seems low. The main issue will be gusty winds and heavy rain with localized flooding.

Behind the front the rest of the week looks to be mainly dry with highs in the upper-70’s to lower-80’s. There will be a small chance for a shower or storm each day.
