LAKEWOOD – A new restaurant serving southern-inspired cuisine cut the ribbon on their freshly remodeled dining room in Lakewood on Wednesday.

Owned and operated by Bruce Stanton and his wife Laurie, Stella, a Kitchen & Bar, serves a variety of foods, such as seafood, soups, burgers, homemade french fries and salads. The bar additionally serves southern-inspired specialty drinks.

Bruce Stanton says he plans to use his many years of experience in the restaurant businesses to serve the Chautauqua County community.

“We are very fond of New Orleans and Charleston, both cities have wonderful food scenes,” said Stanton. “You’ll see a lot of contemporary elements, but you will also see a lot of traditional. We do a great Friday fish fry because we know that is really part of our community.”

The restaurant officially opened earlier this month part of a soft launch. They are open Wednesday and Thursday, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
