
CELORON — Lance Spicer has been commended by the Chautauqua County Legislature for 43 years of dedication, service and commitment to Chautauqua County while serving as a board member of the South And Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts and a member of the Chautauqua County Legislature.
Spicer received the commendation from the Chautauqua County Legislators for faithfully serving Chautauqua County as a member of the South And Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts (SCCLSD) Board for 43 years, serving continuously from 1978 through 2020. During his tenure on the SCCLSD Board, Spicer served as Chairman from 2012 until 2020 and participated in the Personnel Committee, Finance Committee and the Technical Committee.
In addition to his exemplary service on the SCCLSD Board, Spicer also served as a Chautauqua County Legislator from 1978 to 2007, was Chairman from 1990 to 1995 and participated as a member of several Legislative Committees including Economic Development, Finance, Judicial & Public Safety, Government Affairs, Human Services and Administrative Services.
The award was presented to Spicer on behalf of the Chautauqua County Legislators by Chairman Pierre Chagnon at the October 28 meeting of the Legislature.
