COVID-19 Hospitalizations Continue To Rise In Chautauqua County

MAYVILLE – The number of those hospitalized because of COVID-19 continues to rise in Chautauqua County.

According to data released by the county Health Department on Monday, two additional hospitalizations were reported over the weekend, bringing the number of those hospitalized to 25.

Additionally, 16 new cases of the virus were reported, that is in addition to 28 from over the weekend.


Of the cases, nine are in Jamestown with 142 active countywide.

The Health Department says there remain 14 residents and one employee at Tanglewood Manor in West Ellicott infected with the virus. Since the outbreak there, 23 employees and 75 residents have recovered from the virus.

There remain seven active cases within the Jamestown Fire Department, with no recoveries reported.



Since the outbreak started, 954 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the county, with 1,104 total cases reported.
