JAMESTOWN – The search for a man wanted on federal drug charges has ended.

Jamestown Police say 27-year-old Michael Murphy was taken into custody on Tuesday by the US Marshall’s Violent Fugitive Task Force, Jamestown Police, the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s K-9 unit.

After receiving a tip via Crime Stoppers of Western New York, police say Murphy was arrested at 31 Linwood Avenue while hiding in the attic.

Murphy was charged with conspiracy with intent to distribute and several other federal drug-related charges.
