Weekend Weather: Mainly Cloudy Saturday Followed By A Messy Sunday

JAMESTOWN – After the passing of a cold front last night, the weekend will usher in a return to more seasonable chillier weather.

For Today, mostly cloudy with a stray sprinkle possible. Highs in the upper-30’s to the lower-40’s.

Tonight, mainly cloudy with a snow shower or two. Lows around 30.

The weather becomes more active and messy tomorrow into Monday. A low pressure system passing the region Sunday will allow for wet snow showers early in the morning before switching over to mostly rain showers in the afternoon. Before that switch over occurs areas well inland may see a couple inches of wet snow on Sunday morning or a possible sleet/freezing rain mix. Highs in the upper-30’s to the lower-40’s.

A mixture of rain and snow continues for Monday, otherwise mostly cloudy with highs in the upper-30’s.

High pressure returns late Monday into Tuesday that will provide for partly cloudy skies and highs in the lower-40’s on Tuesday.

The forecast becomes more uncertain as we had towards Thanksgiving. More details to come in the next few days.
