MAYVILLE – A person in their 40s has died from COVID-19 in Chautauqua County.
The County Health Department, in an update to the COVID-19 dashboard on Wednesday, announced the 22nd death, the second just this week.
Additionally, 59 new cases were reported with nine in Jamestown. Of the 345 cases currently active, 82 are in the Jamestown area.
Since the pandemic began, 2,132 cases have been recorded with 1,765 recovering.
Health leaders say there ae 19 people hospitalized with a seven-day average percent positivity rate of 6.2 percent.
