LITTLE VALLEY – The Cattaraugus County Department of Health has reported its highest new number of daily positive COVID-19 cases so far in the pandemic.

Officials say 91 new cases were identified on Thursday, bringing the county’s active case count to 575.

The county has had 1,670 total COVID-19 cases.

So far, 1,063 people have recovered, and 32 people have died from the virus in the county.

The seven-day average percent positive rate is 8.0 percent, up from 7.6 percent the day before.

There are 26 people hospitalized in the county.
