Four COVID-19 Related Deaths Reported In Cattaraugus County

LITTLE VALLEY – Four COVID-19 related deaths were reported in Cattaraugus County on Saturday.

The County Health Department says the deaths involve a 44-year-old man, 55-year-old man, 71-year-old man and 92-year-old woman who all developed respiratory failure.

Officials say the four were unable to overcome her illness despite aggressive medical treatment.


There have been 44 deaths connected to COVID-19 in the county since the outbreak began, six in the last two days.

On Christmas Eve the health department reported two deaths, a 94-year-old man and a 98-year-old woman who also developed respiratory failure.

Sixty-two new cases of the virus were reported in the latest COVID-19 update, with 531 now active.



There are 37 people hospitalized and the county’s seven-day average percent positivity rate is 6.9 percent.
