MAYVILLE – The number of those hospitalized with COVID-19 in Chautauqua County increased as health leaders reported 81 new cases of the virus on Tuesday.
The Chautauqua County Health Department reports there are 38 hospitalizations, up from 35 over the weekend.
Additionally, leaders say there are now 441 active cases countywide. Of those active, 125 are in the Jamestown area.
The seven-day average percent positivity rate continued to increase up from 8.7 to 9.7 percent.
To date there have been 3,496 cases of the virus with 3,026 people recovering and 29 related deaths.
