Man Arrested For Allegedly Attacking Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputy

SHERIDAN – A Town of Sheridan man was arrested Thursday morning following a pervious incident where he allegedly attacked a sheriff’s deputy.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says 37-year-old Adam Rice was arrested at his residence on Route 20 in Sheridan just before 9:30 a.m.

Rice was wanted in connection with a pervious incident where he allegedly punched a deputy and then held them in a chokehold.











He is charged with second-degree strangulation, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, second-degree harassment, third-degree assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Deputies say Rice was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.
