SINCLAIRVILLE – A 26-year-old Sinclairville man is facing charges after allegedly beating and hold a person captive for what police call an “extended period of time” in Chautauqua County.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office arrested Zachary Sauberan on an outstanding warrant for second-degree unlawful imprisonment and second-degree harassment on Sunday.

Deputies say the charges stem from a Stockton altercation earlier this month.

During the incident they allege Sauberan struck the victim multiple times with a closed fist and would not allow that person to leave for an “extended period of time”.

Sauberan was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
