WASHINGTON – Congressman Tom Reed (R) is backing an effort that would expand the Restaurant Revitalization Program.
Reed joined over 100 members of Congress in supporting the push that aims to help restaurants and other impacted businesses keep their doors open throughout the pandemic.
In a statement, Reed says this program is critical to small businesses and restaurants across his district that did not receive help through the American Rescue Plan.
So far, he says the program has allocated $28.6 billion, however due to high demand the current funding levels will soon run dry, that’s why an expansion to the program is needed.
