Police Probe Dunkirk Death

DUNKIRK – New York State Police are looking into an unattended death in the Town of Dunkirk.

Troopers from the State Police Barracks in Fredonia responded to a welfare check on State Route 5 in the Town of Dunkirk just after 2:30 a.m. Friday.

They say a male subject was found dead at the scene.


The Bureau of Criminal Investigation and state police forensic identification unit are now actively investigating this incident.

No other information was released.
