Part Of Route 60 Will Be Closed Next Month For Bridge Replacement Work

ELLICOTT – Starting next month a portion of a major highway in Chautauqua County will be closed due to bridge work.

The New York State Department of Transportation says on Tuesday, July 6 at 7 a.m. the Route 60 bridge over Cassadaga Creek in the Town of Ellicott will be closed.

The bridge will undergo replacement, with drivers asked to follow a posted detour via Van Cobb Road, North Work Street and Salisbury Road.


Construction is slated to last around two and a half months.
