ALBANY (WENY) – New Yorkers can now apply for the state’s Public Health Corps Fellowship program.

This program helps assist coronavirus responses, ramping up vaccination efforts and strengthening workforce capacities.

Governor Andrew Cuomo says “We are teaming up with Cornell University to train and educate the next generation of public health professionals, who will be ready to hit the ground running and help their communities if and when another public health emergency hits.”

The governor goes onto say it is important the state needs to act now in order to be better prepared for the next public health crisis.
