CHAUTAUQUA LAKE – Storms and intensive flooding have created dangerous waterways in Chautauqua Lake in the last week.

The Chautauqua Lake Association says Chautauqua Lake has seen dramatic increases in debris accumulation since last weekend.

There have reportedly been whole trees, tree branches, shrubbery and many other items in the waterways.

Another issue is that many docks have been almost entirely submerged.

The Association has been working hard to remove debris from the water and help to restore navigational lanes.

While the group continues to clean the water, they are urging boaters to continue to use caution.
