JAMESTOWN – A push to re-engage families with the importance of child wellness is happening this week in Chautauqua County.

Hosted by Chautauqua Connections, a Child Wellness Fair is taking place Thursday in Downtown Jamestown.

Patrick Smeraldo, the organizer of the Children’s Collation, tells us the pandemic caused many child wellness agencies to lose touch with area families.

The fair will offer several activities for kids to enjoy, while connecting mom and dad with resources to help them succeed.

“There’s around 32 agencies, from Prevention Works, to the Resource Center, Chautauqua Opportunities, the County, WICK, all these companies are going to have representatives there.” Says Smeraldo.  “They will re-engage with children and their families, just letting them know that they are here for their support.”

The event will be taking place this Thursday, July 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Lafayette Street near Northwest Arena, between 2nd and 3rd Streets.

More information about the Child Wellness Fair, or the Chautauqua Connections Children’s Coalition, can be found on their Facebook Page or at ccchildrenscoalition.com.
