Celoron DPW Garage Destroyed By Fire

CELORON — A local public works garage was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning. 

The Village of Celoron Fire Department was dispatched to 50 Gifford Avenue shortly after 6 a.m. for reports of smoke coming from the village’s Public Works garage. 

Firefighters from Lakewood, Busti, Kiantone and the City of Jamestown responded to assist village crews fight the flames.

It appears no one was injured as a result of the fire, however, much of the equipment inside the garage was destroyed, including several dump trucks.
