WARREN (Erie News Now) – The Alzheimer’s Association announced plans last week for this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
All of the money raised goes towards Alzheimer’s research.
The group also presented last year’s winner Team McKissock with a traveling trophy.
The team walked in honor of their fellow employee’s father, who passed away last year from Alzheimer’s.
“I’m very touched,” said Carmen Bevacqua, Warren County Alzheimer’s committee. “It just shows the company’s spirit we have at McKissock. We started out a family run company. Even though we’ve grown, we still maintain the family spirit and unity, and the support from others as I look around, not only people here that I work with, it’s quite a testament.”
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is set for Sept. 25 at Betts Park in Warren.
