JAMESTOWN– Love Elementary School received a surprise right before school started last week, with a donation of school supplies from the local FedEx office.
Senior manager Michael Sarkissian, and Operations Managers Matthew Timmerman and William Long, delivered backpacks, notebooks, pencils, health supplies and headphones to the school.
“What a pleasant surprise it was when we received a call from our local FedEx office asking when they could drop off a delivery of school supplies, which were generously donated by local FedEx employees,” said Love Elementary School Principal Cindy Johnson. “Our students will benefit from the thoughtful and caring donations. It is wonderful to have those in our community stepping up to assist others! All of us at Love School appreciate FedEx.”
The donation was done as part of FedEx Cares 50 by 50, which is the company’s journey to positively impact 50 million people around the world by their 50th anniversary in 2023.
They will accomplish this by using the business and logistics expertise and the passion of their team members to help solve some of the world’s problems.
