JAMESTOWN – New York State has launched a portal outlining how many hospital workers statewide are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The new portal outlines the percentages by county, as well as by specific hospital. In Chautauqua County 93 percent of staff are vaccinated with 75 percent vaccinated in Cattaraugus County.

As for specific hospitals, UPMC Chautauqua Hospital reports 97 percent of staff are immunized with Brooks-TLC Hospital reporting 90 percent, Westfield Memorial Hospital 84 percent and Olean General Hospital at 75 percent.

It is important to note, these figures are the number of hospital workers who are fully vaccinated, as of September 28. Currently, under the new vaccination mandate, hospital workers needed to either submit an exemption or be partially vaccinated by this week to keep their jobs.

According to Governor Kathy Hochul, 92 percent of nursing home staff, 89 percent of adult care facilities staff and 92 percent of hospital staff statewide are currently partially vaccinated, meaning they are in compliance with the mandate.
