GERRY – A 34-year-old man is facing a slew of charges following a domestic incident where he allegedly stole a vehicle and then fled police last week.

New York State Police report that James Boardman allegedly fled troopers in a stolen vehicle on Saturday in the Falconer area.

The chase continued through Jamestown until it came to an end on Ohio Street in the Village of Lakewood, where Broadman was arrested.

Following an investigation, it is alleged Boardman pushed a female victim after she refused to let him use her vehicle. Later in the day, Broadman allegedly returned to the Gerry residence, where he stole the car.

After searching the vehicle, troopers allegedly found a loaded hypodermic needle containing heroin.

Broadman was arrested on an outstanding warrant and later charged with harassment, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and criminal possession of a controlled substance; among several other charges.
