JAMESTOWN – Black ice could possibly create hazards for drivers early Friday morning in Western New York.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo issued a special weather statement warning of the hazard.

Forecasters say moisture left on paved surfaces from rain overnight has likely frozen.

This will create slick conditions on untreated roads, parking lots and sidewalks.

They are asking everyone to use caution when traveling, especially on bridges and overpasses.
