Chautauqua County Humane Society Hosting Black Friday Adoption Event

JAMESTOWN – The Chautauqua County Humane Society is looking to find 29 cats and 25 dogs forever homes by hosting a special Black Friday adoption event this week.

The shelter is teaming up with Happy Hounds Hotel and Day Spa for the “Season of Hope” adoption drive.

Animals will be able to meet with perspective families at the shelter’s 2nd Chances Thrift Store from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Black Friday and at the Chautauqua Mall from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Additionally, general cat adoptions will be held from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays and on Fridays. Adoptions will also take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays in December.

Beyond the Black Friday availability, dog appointments will continue to take place via appointment only as shelter officials say this is far less stressful for the dogs and gives them a greater chance of being adopted.
