JAMESTOWN – The National Invitational Scholastic Showcase is taking place this weekend at the Northwest Arena featuring a slew of hockey match ups.
Continuing through Sunday, the tournament runs will join together the high ranked teams from across the United States and Canada in a chance for them to compete for the Governors Cup.
“We at Northwest Arena are thrilled to host players from across the United States and celebrate the rich history of this tournament for the fifteenth time,” said Northwest Arena Executive Director Keith Martin. “Northwest Arena is proud to showcase one of the finest facilities in our region and provide this economic boost to Chautauqua County.”
The showcase consists of State Championship Schools and Scholastic Powers from Eastern Pennsylvania, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, New York, Ohio, and Western Pennsylvania.
Back to defend there will be Cathedral Prep High School, who won the cup for the first time in 2019.
