Vacant Jamestown House Destroyed By Fire

JAMESTOWN – A vacant house on Jamestown’s eastside was destroyed by fire overnight. 

The Jamestown Fire Department responded to 112 Tower Street around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

When crews first arrived on scene, they found the vacant and condemned structure fully involved in flames. 











Crews were on scene battling the blaze for several hours. Additional off shift firefighters were also called in to assist.  

No injuries were reported and the house has been deemed a total loss. 

Crews are now working to determine the cause of the blaze.

  1. I believe I know who this house belongs to. I’m not completely sure. I believe I used to live here a long time ago. I believe the owner is an elderly women who had moved out before the fire started. Again, I’m not totally sure.
