ERIE (Erie News Now) – The Chautauqua County Humane Society was given a $5,000 grant, thanks to a woman who shared her incredible adoption story.
Sarah Winton was awarded the money, through Petco Love Stories. Winton adopted Chloe from the shelter 7 years ago. Now the once rambunctious pup has grown into a wonder service dog.
When Sarah was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, Chloe’s training enabled her to still have some normalcy.
“It’s amazing that she can help me. I am enabled because of her instead of disabled, and it’s amazing that she can do this” Winton said. “She came from a from rescue pup into something that’s amazing for me and can really help.”
