NEW YORK – Former President Donald Trump is suing New York State Attorney General Letitia James, accusing her of ‘harassment.’

Monday, Trump and the Trump Organization filed a lawsuit asking a federal court to stop or limit her office’s ongoing civil investigation into his businesses.

Trump accuses James of violating his constitutional rights, claiming that her investigation, which has lasted more than two years, is politically motivated and designed to quote ‘harass, intimidate and retaliate’ against him.

The lawsuit also asks the court to stop James’ involvement in any civil or criminal actions against trump.

It comes less than two weeks after James says she wants to question Trump under oath next month as part of the investigation.

James’ Office responded to the lawsuit by accusing the Trump Organization of repeatedly trying to delay the investigation.

A statement also said, “to be clear, neither Mr. Trump nor the Trump Organization get to dictate if and where they will answer for their actions.”

Trump is also facing a criminal investigation by Manhattan’s district attorney that James has been helping out with.
