CLYMER (Erie News Now) – Kicking off the first day of Winter, Peek N’ Peak opened their slopes, starting the first day of the season. At 9 am, the resort held a first ride ceremony with the ski lifts.

Much snow have not fallen to cover the slopes entirely, so snow guns are scattered around, making a 12 inch layer of snow for skiers. Brandon Odell, with Peek N’ Peak says that over 6,000 season passes have already been sold, causing them to beat last year’s breaking record.

This year brought new additions, snow gear is able to be purchased and plans for new event venues are already in the works.

Only four trails are open to ski on but Odell hopes to have them all open by next week.
