MAYVILLE – The Sheriff’s Office is cracking down on prison contraband at the County Jail with several arrests over the past month.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says Dwayne Posey, Devon Smith, Blake Smith and Elizabeth Seice were all charged with promoting prison contraband, among other crimes, in separate incidents.

Specifically, Posey, deputies say, was found incoherent in his jail cell back in December while burning small pieces of paper which later tested positive for morphine.

As for Devon Smith, it is alleged he passed was found with heroin in the socks. Blake Smith, meanwhile, allegedly passed heroin to another inmate at the jail.

And finally, in January, while Elizabeth Seice was booked into the facility, corrections officers allegedly located a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine.
