WARREN – The Audubon Community Nature Center and the Warren YMCA are inviting the community to join them in presenting “Turkeys and Fish”.

With opening seasons for both turkeys and fish coming right around the corner,  the ACNC is offering all residents to come out and use the opportunity to learn more about each of these animals on Saturday morning, March 26.

Drop in times are between 10 and 11:30 a.m. at the Warren YMCA, 212 Lexington Avenue, in Warren, Pa.

The Nature center plans to explore the adaptations of turkeys with artifacts like feathers, skulls, feet, and eggs. A mounted turkey will be available for size reference and to see the birds up close.

Visitors will be introduced to a pretend fishing pond to some of the area’s most frequent fish while they “catch” some of their own. Crafts and other activities will also be included.

Sponsored by Whirley DrinkWorks, the program will be free with no reservations needed.

Audubon is located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown, N.Y., and Warren, Pa. Dawn to dusk daily you can enjoy the six miles of trails and outdoor Nature Play Area and view Liberty, Audubon’s non-releasable Bald Eagle, all for free.
