3 Children, Adult Killed In PA House Fire

SPRINGBORO, Pa. (Erie News Now) – A fire in Springboro, Crawford County on Friday claimed the lives of four people and sent two others to the hospital, the Springboro fire chief told Erie News Now. 

It was reported at a house in the 100 block of Union St. around 7:10 p.m. 

Early reports indicated people were trapped inside the residence, according to investigators. 





Multiple fire departments put out the fire, but four people were killed, the fire chief said. 

The victims have been identified as Hilda Eberhart, 65; a 14-year-old boy; 10-year-old boy and a 6-month-old girl, according to State Police. 

Two people were taken to hospitals for treatment. A 45-year-old woman is in critical condition at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, and a 63-year-old man is in stable condition at Meadville Medical Center, State Police said. 





















The State Police Fire Marshall was called to the scene due to the fatalities. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to the fire chief. 

Firefighters from Springboro, Conneautville and Springfield were still at the scene as of Saturday morning.
