JAMESTOWN – Around two dozen Jamestown residents joined together in protest of the U.S. Supreme Court Decision that overturned Roe V. Wade on Friday evening.
The rally was organized by the Jamestown Justice Coalition just hours after the ruling was announced.
While abortion is legal in New York up to 24 week of pregnancy, or after that time period if the mother’s health is at risk, protestors called on lawmakers in Washington, D.C. to take action.
In addition to passing abortion legislation nationwide, one protestor had strong words for the justices who voted to overturn the original ruling, accusing them of lying during the Senate confirmation hearings.
“All five of the justices who voted in favor of overturning Roe Vs. Wade said under oath that they believed that Roe Vs. Wade was safe, that it was constitutionally sound, and that they did not oppose it,” said Danica Olson. “Article III of the Constitution states that Supreme Court Justices are only in court so as long as they are in good standing, good behavior, and perjury is a crime, so they are no longer in good standing, I believe that we should abort the court and vote them out.”
Next weekend, the group plans to organize another rally in support of women’s rights as well.
Why? NYS is a liberal craphole that will still allow all the who oars to abort their babies after birth anyway. If anything its doing what a democracy is meant to do and allow YOUR elected state offials to make the call, not the feds. Don’t worry NYS you can still kill babies
