LAKEWOOD – A trio of 12-year-olds are facing several charges following a residential burglary in Lakewood where they allegedly stole liquor bottles and a handgun.

The Lakewood Busti Police Department reports the break-in happened at a residence along Chautauqua Lake this week.

Police say the juveniles, two from Jamestown and another from Lakewood, illegally entered the home and stole multiple liquor bottles and a 9mm pistol.

Officers used security video to identify the kids, who were also caught swimming in the home’s pool.

Detectives later located the kids, and charged them with burglary, grand larceny and petit larceny in Family Court. The handgun was also safely recovered.
