DUNKIRK, NY (WNY News Now) – New details have been released about a double fatal crash in the City of Dunkirk earlier this month.
The four-vehicle crash happened back on Thursday, August 11 on Central Avenue near West Howard Avenue.
Two people, identified as 31-year-old Luis Perez-Torres and 17-year-old Erik Rodriguez Montalvo died as a result of the collision. Three others were also injured in the crash.
An investigation found that Perez-Torres struck another vehicle that was starting to move north on Central after waiting for a stop light. He continued through the intersection striking a third vehicle that was stopped at the Stop Light facing Southbound on Central before his vehicle overturned.
Both Perez-Torres and Rodriguez Montalvo were ejected from the vehicle as a result.
