ERIE, Pa. (Erie News Now) – Erie’s Tall Ships Festival will be making its return to Erie’s bayfront in just a few days, and will kick off with the Parade of Sail.

When those ships sail into Presque Isle Bay there will be some members of the Erie News Now team on board.

Erie’s own Brig Niagara will be just one of the tall ships set to sail through Presque Isle Bay down to Erie’s bayfront this Thursday, August 25nd.

Meteorologist Sara Tonks and reporter Tom Kowalski headed to Put-in-Bay, Ohio to jump on board the Niagara for it’s trip back to Erie.

They will spend the next few days sailing Lake Erie, along with the rest of the Niagara’s crew, including fleet Captain Billy Sabatini.
