BUSTI, NY (WNY News Now) – A 26-year-old Jamestown man was accused of driving drunk and high after crashing his vehicle into a tree in the Town of Busti.

Lakewood-Busti Police responded to the single vehicle car crash on Hunt Road around 10 p.m. Saturday.

When police arrived on scene they located a damaged vehicle, however, found nobody inside.

Following an investigation officers located the vehicle’s driver, identified as Deontae Martin, at his residence in Jamestown.

Martin, police said, admitted to drinking alcohol and smoking weed prior to the crash.

After allegedly failing field sobriety tests, Martin was charged with DWI, among other traffic violations.
