DUNKIRK, N.Y. (WNY News Now) — Two new program opportunities are available for planning and funding support, and municipalities in Chautauqua County are being invited to apply.

These programs include planning support for creating a Downtown Revitalization Master Plan and planning and/or funding support for Complete Streets Projects.

The Downtown Revitalization Master Planning Program is intended to aid municipalities in identifying transformative projects and will select a maximum of two communities to receive master planning assistance.

The Complete Streets Program is designed to help municipalities plan, design, and/or implement complete streets projects that enable safe access for pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists of all ages and abilities.

“In 2022, the Partnership for Economic Growth supported 13 projects throughout the county, and based on the success of these initiatives, we are going to continue to provide support in 2023,” said Mark Geise, Deputy County Executive for Economic Development.

Grant awards typically range between $5,000 and $20,000, with $40,000 being budgeted for the program.

Interested applicants must submit an online application at chqpartnership.org/completestreetsfunding by February 27, 2022 at 4pm.
