JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) — Sewer line repairs are underway in the City of Jamestown.

The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities is working on Steele Street at Harding Avenue, which will remain closed to traffic until Thursday.

Motorists are asked to follow a posted detour to avoid the work zone.

During construction, BPU officials say there will be no access to Steele Street from the Sixth Street Bridge, Fairmount Avenue and Harding Avenue.

Traffic is detoured away from Steele Street starting at Barrett Avenue, except for local access.
